Aerospace Engineering students transferring to UCI can complete the program in two years with summer coursework if they have completed the following:
As with most engineering programs, the challenge for the transfer student typically comes from not being able to find sufficient engineering coursework at community colleges. UCI's Aerospace Engineering program includes five additional quarters of engineering coursework in the freshman and sophomore years which limits course options for transfer students due to prerequisites. Availability of these courses at community colleges varies widely. These are:
Completing statics prior to transfer is strongly recommended to reduce the course load for the first summer session. Students are also welcome to complete the program in three years and avoid the summer courses. The program does accommodate five breadth courses for students that do not enter with IGETC.
